Todd – I was surprised they had John Piper and George Bush on the list. I can’t believe MacArthur didn’t make it but the TBN guys and Benny Hinn did. Wow.

Wow. Out of fifty, there are three that I count worthy (and a couple that I don’t recognise). Not that all the others are necessarily bad people, just that being a Christian in a public position (President or Senator) only makes you influential, not an “influential Christian.”
Todd, it was really exciting to see Luis Palau on the list. He is an elder at my home church in Portland and is an amazing man of God. Thanks for putting that link on there and for all your thoughts.
No MacArthur? :( Oh well, I did pick up the MacArthur Lifeworks CD-ROM for a whopping $18 the other day. I was walking around Costco and there is MacArthur’s picture in the software stack. Sounds like a guy who should be on the list to me.
This list says more about the people who voted than about the Christian influence of the people chosen.
