So how many emails do you get with a subject line “I went on a date.” And in the message they tell you that the date looked amazingly similar to you, and that that was the first and the last date with that person.
I must be special. Just not in the way my Mom told me.
Apparently after a decade in Israel, you have a photo for every occasion. You could play a good blog game – we provide the caption, you provide the photo.
Sometimes people think it will be their last date, but they end up dating again. So maybe it’s just that people like you don’t make a great first impression but become beloved over time. Or it could be that you really are special.
Well, if you got that email from a guy, describing the girl he went out with, that might explain it. It’s not that you’re ugly, you just wouldn’t make a very pretty girl.
If you have a photo of yourself in a long blonde wig to put with this comment, that would really be “special.”
Ha, Ha, Ha, that’s really funny.
Oh dear. And someone would actually write that in an email? I doubt I would go past the first date with someone that reminded me of a professor of mine, but I think I would keep that information to myself if it ever happened.
Jennifer – actually it was a wonderful email from a wonderful person. I just selectively summarized it in a way I tried to make humorous. I probably shouldn’t write on the blog when I’m tired.
Hee hee. I like the “provide a caption” idea…
Todd, – I guess I shouldn’t write comments when I’m tired, either – they sound good in my head but must come out wrong. I figured that it wasn’t the whole context of the email, and don’t worry– your sense of humor still worked fine for being tired.
That got a good laugh out of me. I love it! ;) I think the only person I have met who really reminded me of you was the photographer at my sister’s wedding, and since his wife was his assitant I didn’t really consider him dating material. Oh, yeah, Luke reminds me of you (or do you remind me of him?), but I think he’s just a bit too young for me. ;) So I guess I wouldn’t really date anyone I’ve met who looks like you, either!
