The fact that I like Dick Cheney probably tells you more about me than I want you to know, but I mention it here to say that I don’t mention this video clip in order to bash the guy. But I do think it quite interesting (and obviously prophetic) what he says about why the US should not have invaded Iraq (in 1994). Dead on.

I think he snapped when 9/11 happened. It’s sad to see a man blinded by fear. . .it’s even worse to see one leading the free world. . . .
I think that if Cheney is as disliked as you say, it says more about the media than about the VP. It is difficult to know who is responsible (for credit or blame) for the decisions of the Bush administration. Did Cheney make the mistakes in Iraq or is it more Rumsfeld or someone else? Alternately, there are many things that didn’t go wrong; who gets the credit for that? I don’t know. The passage of time will give us better perspective, but ultimately the Lord will judge these men.
