I don’t know who Jack Hughes is, and maybe that makes it all the more remarkable. This has to be the best sermon on hell I’ve ever heard. You should listen to it. Yes, you.

Jack is a graduate of The Master’s Seminary and has his doctorate in preaching from Westminster. He wrote a book on using word craft in preaching. He is a clear and powerful preacher who pastors Calvary Bible Church in Burbank, CA.
My brother attends his church in Burbank and I was visiting that day he preached one of the messages in that series. Afterward I could not stop weeping, to think that God sent His Son into this world to save sinners like me. I was overwhelmed with joy and thankfulness.
Thanks for the heads up Todd! The sermon was great… convicting and inspiring. God is gracious and just. I’ll be tuning in for more.
Jack Hughes is my all-time favorite chapel speaker… who made me laugh alot. A cross between Jim Carrey and Jerry Seinfeld, he inadvertantly opened with ‘Well, it’s good to be black’ when he meant to say ‘it’s good to be back’ every word after that brought sheer delight! …. he and I have laughed about it since. He’s awesome. So is his wife.
AND, I hear that he cut his preaching teeth at Church of the Canyons back in the day. :)
Can’t wait to hear the sermon on hell (should i be that excited about hearing about hell? :) ) !
