Been catching up on the series during my off hours. I admit to confusion over the OT and NT and salvation. I probably need to think more about this and what I’ve learned over the years.
Hi Todd,
Great lesson yesterday. I wanted to capture your definition of wisdom at the end of yesterday’s lesson ( I thought it was very well done) and then send it off to the class. Does this get it?
Wisdom is a relationship with God, Fear of God is the foundation of that wisdom (the alphabet of wisdom from which we can start writing), the beginning/starting of the journey to acquire God’s Wisdom.
Wisdom is skilled living, in accordance with its design by its creator and apart from a relationship with our Lord, life won’t work.
Whoops – wrong spot before: Todd,
Reading through the notes from last week on Proverbs. Read the section about Proverbs for Kings and their subjects. In your notes you say the kings should reign by wisdom, speak with authority, etc. I find that when those qualities are in our leaders, while I may not agree with all their policies, I am at least not squirming under their rule… and working for the Federal government, there is much to squirm under. And as a lead in the occasionally response to a hurricane, I find that when I lead with these qualities, the team accomplishes more. Skip
