An Epitaph

By | September 6, 2006

Spotted yesterday: this gravestone marker for the wife of James De Rothschild, son of Baron Edmond De Rothschild. Any ladies out there want to put this on their tombstone?

    !?
    The Hebrew reads differently:
“She made her desire like his desire, and always acted in his manner” (?)
Sounds a bit clunky to me – I assume the English is the original.
    Either way – that’s weird.

Todd-I care about your thoughts, but I saw Danny’s comment…what is a recent email for him? If you’ll furnish, you can email me. Thanx :)

Sounds pretty strange in today’s culture–alas. I fear we are the losers.
