2.1 Kids

By | October 17, 2007

At church on Sunday an older lady saw our family (with 4 kids) and quite delighted and began to tell us how a nation has to have 2.1 kids per family to survive but how America only averages 1.7.  And she blessed us for doing our part.  I didn’t tell her that I’d be delighted if they all went and lived outside of America.  But I wonder what she’d say if she saw this Israeli and his family come to church.  Or just imagine trying to get them all to church.

    Todd,

I’m not sure that story was supposed to be as funny as I thought it was…wow! It really made me laugh, which I really needed. It’s so interesting that this guy’s a bedouin. How does he support all those kids?

Hope school is going well for you!

Heather – my guess is that the wives do most of the supporting financially. And now that some are over 30, he’s probably never been responsible for more than 30 at a time.
