We like to think that our visit to Lambeau Field this summer inspired the team. No, this is not me with the kids.

I have repented before, but it’s not been genuine. I think I am finally convinced. I wonder how long it will take me to change. I’ve blown it three times in this paragraph so far. Who killed Lebanon’s prime minister? This is an interesting article into the investigation with some insights into how the UN… Read More »
It’s been a good year. I’d say our family looks better than it ever has! These photos were taken by our friend, Jack Pitney. He did a great job! These photos were taken at a park about half a mile from where we live. For those who can’t keep track, Mark is 11, Luke is… Read More »
Two of our boys started middle school (6th-8th grade) this year. The school has a program that makes it easy for dads to volunteer and visit for a day or more during the school year. Today was my day. For a couple of periods, I served the dean by doing some organization in the book… Read More »
A friend wrote yesterday. I will not name him. But he was eager that our son be named Jack. We named our son Jonathan. Our friend was happy with this because, he reasoned, Jonathan is like John, and Jack is a nickname for John. So he plans to call our son Jack. It is true… Read More »
Good news! Our son has arrived! This morning Kelli had a C-section and at 8:04, Jonathan Daniel poked his head out into this bright, loud world. Last night I predicted that he would weigh 7lbs and 9 oz. The little guy must have picked up 2 oz overnight just to prove me wrong! (If you… Read More »
Excluding the game that I missed, Mark has scored every goal for his team this season. He has never played forward, either. (I didn’t say that it was a good team.) I see that I posted a picture of Mark playing soccer shortly after we moved to the US three years ago (and more here).
Thanks for participating with us in the latest edition of “Name That Baby!“ We enjoyed your responses. The night we posted the survey was the night we “decided” on a name. I put that in quotation marks because nothing is final until the ink is dry on the birth certificate. But we think we finally… Read More »
Since I’ve had seven consecutive posts now with no comments, I think it’s time to re-involve the reader. I think it would be interesting to solicit your suggestions and/or predictions as to the name of our child. The ultrasound doctor said the child is a boy, and Kelli has a C-section scheduled for Monday, October… Read More »
Kelli’s C-section is scheduled exactly one month from today. I’m hoping the baby will decide on his own to arrive one day sooner. It seems to me that it would be hard to forget your birth date if it was 10-10-10. Kelli is looking very good. It’s not easy being pregnant in your final month,… Read More »
