Suffering for Jesus

By | June 24, 2006

Some of you may have figured out that I am traveling to various top-secret locations during the latter half of June. I’m spending two weeks going to biblical sites none of which I have been to before. It is an amazing trip. Bet you can’t guess where these photos was taken. And lest you think… Read More »

Every TV

By | June 20, 2006

Every TV in Greece has the World Cup playing. Every single one. No exceptions. And it doesn’t matter that Greece didn’t make it into the tournament. The World Cup is a soccer tournament, for those of you in the U.S.

Museum Piece

By | June 19, 2006

This is a real museum piece. The only thing it lacks is a label. This was one of the few things in the archaeological exhibit which did not have a “no photos allowed” sign in front of it :-(.

Modest Dress, Please

Two People in Greece

By | March 22, 2006

The above photo will make three of my four friends jealous. That’s not my only reason for posting it. I want to comment on the two people in the picture that you probably don’t know. Second from the right is Fotis, a Greek man who has devoted his life to reaching his people with the… Read More »

Atop Mars Hill

By | March 21, 2006

If you knew that I was in Greece, you’d probably guess that the above photo recalls Paul’s speech to the philosophers at Mars Hill in Athens (for another photo of the hill itself, see my other blog). Those who come from the best college in the world are probably jealous to realize who I got… Read More »

One of Those Days…

By | March 11, 2006

Today was one. There aren’t very many. I think there were more in previous decades and centuries, judging from their photographs. I can only remember a few. Jan 7, 2003, in an airplane. Apr that same year, in Galilee. And the next month, in Corinth. The day didn’t start that way. I slept poorly because… Read More »
