Above is a picture of Mark&#8217;s first-grade classroom.  Below is a picture of Kelli with Luke&#8217;s teacher.  A few observations:<\/p>\n<p>1. The kids have nowhere to keep their stuff (e.g., desk drawers) and so have to haul everything back and forth each day.<\/p>\n<p>2. Though located in the Jerusalem area, there are no religious families at the school, as far as I could see.  The religious go to their own schools.  The secular seem to be quite secular, if one can judge from the women&#8217;s clothing.<\/p>\n<p>3. This is the first year with classes 5 days a week.  Previously they had only Saturday off.  Even the first-graders have multiple teachers, going at different times to classes in computers, agriculture, sports, and magic.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bibleplaces.com\/blog\/uploaded_images\/060607073tb_Kelli_Luke_teacher-779437.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bibleplaces.com\/blog\/uploaded_images\/060607073tb_Kelli_Luke_teacher-777877.JPG\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last night was sort of an &#8220;open house\/carnival&#8221; at the boys&#8217; school.
