{"id":359,"date":"2006-09-07T17:52:08","date_gmt":"2006-09-07T14:52:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/toddbolen.com\/2006\/09\/07\/just-say-yes\/"},"modified":"2006-09-07T17:52:08","modified_gmt":"2006-09-07T14:52:08","slug":"just-say-yes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/toddbolen.com\/blog\/2006\/09\/07\/just-say-yes\/","title":{"rendered":"Just Say Yes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I may not be famous, but I went to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ouhsd.k12.ca.us\/sites\/rmhs\/rmhs.htm\">high school<\/a> with two people who are in the news today.<\/p>\n<p>Marion Jones &#8216;B&#8217; sample came back <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/s\/ap\/20060907\/ap_on_sp_ot\/run_jones_drugs_6\">negative<\/a> and Dmitri Young was <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/s\/ap\/20060907\/ap_on_sp_ba_ga_su\/bba_al_rdp_2\">released<\/a> from the Detroit Tigers. \u00a0 Both have had problems allegedly with substance abuse and both make a teeny bit more than I do (Young gets <a href=\"http:\/\/sports.espn.go.com\/mlb\/players\/profile?statsId=5699\">$8mil<\/a> for the year; Jones makes more than <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/sports\/olympics\/summer\/track\/2004-12-15-jones-suit_x.htm\">$25mil<\/a> in endorsements).<\/p>\n<p>So here&#8217;s what I learned from high school: I should have done drugs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I may not be famous, but I went to high school with two people who are in the news today.
