Actually, it’s the Israelis who claim in a new tourist brochure, “Jerusalem – there’s no such city!” This English brochure was translated from the Hebrew and is more accurately rendered, “Jerusalem – there’s no city like it!”. The error was caught after tens of thousands of brochures were distributed by the Jerusalem municipality.
That reminds me of the American astronaut who was training with a Russian for a joint mission. In a press conference, he wanted to compliment one of the Russians by saying “He flies by the seat of his pants”. However, the translation came out “He flies with his butt forward”.
